Movie feels like a cross between Star Wars, Twilight and Harry Potter, and looks like a Marvel flick. Very awkward pacing, as plot is just characters going from one place to another, very brief visits and even new and old characters and planets get, at most, five minutes screentime. Of course Rey is vindicated and becomes potentially the most powerful Jedi that ever lived. Some scenes are blatant rip-off (sorry, homages) of OT scenes. This feels like when you are trying to clean some mess in your report or homework, and end up tearing the sheet of paper, then putting it back together with scotch tape. It will get you a pass, but not very far in life.
Just watch the ending, you'll understand it all.

A scene where Nebula and Tony Stark playing paper football is very unique because they are in a dying ship and yet still got time to bond to not go crazy. You just can not please everybody, especially not with Star Wars. At this point, no matter what they came up with, it would have been teared to pieces, just like this, all in all good movie experience.
It was quite the show, with all the fan service and twists we have been waiting for. Yes for sure it was at some points bad and wacky, too fast and jumping from plot point to another. The way they did Leia was somehow off, and at times there was straight up wacky dialog and cringe moments.
But isn't that what Star Wars is all about? Even the original trilogy was wacky at times, hell it is a space opera about stuff levitating monks and talking bears.
This was bigger and more epic than any other episode before. I am not ashamed to admit that I had tears in my eyes many times during it. It may be just an okay movie, but it is just what I was always hoping to see as a young kind - epic conclusion.
This is the same Star Wars that we all loved and now seem to hate.
Give it a chance and do not take it too seriously.
